The Indian Western Himalaya Culture Tour 1: 7 Nts / 8 Days.
Shimla-Rampur-Sarahan-Tabo- Pin Valley- Kaza- Kibber- Kunzum Pass- Manali.
This interesting journey takes you through the ancient Tribal belt
of Himachal Pradesh. The tour starts from Shimla with its Edwardian
and Georgian architectural buildings. Shimla was once the summer capital
of British ruled India. Sprawled on a ridge of the Shimla hills, this
vibrant town blends the ancient with the modern. We drive through the
Shimla hills and descend to the Rampur Valley which projects an entirely
different ethnicity. On this insightful culture tour you get to see
the diverse culture that co-exists in this mountain state. Visit ancient
Hindu temples and precariously perched ancient Buddhist monasteries
in spectacular backdrops. Meet wizened Monks and Priests.
Get to see intricately painted antique Thanka paintings, gigantic gilded
statues of the Buddha while interacting with the local folk. The tour
goes through the vast expanses of Spiti which resembles the awesome
Tibetan landscape. The trip ends in the Valley of the Gods – Kullu where

Manali-Keylong-Sarchu-Upshi- Leh:
This culture tour takes off from the lush valley of Kullu also known
as the Valley of the Gods as each village has its own deity and goes
on to the predominantly Buddhist region of Lahaul. Get to meet the local
folk and visit ancient temples and Gompas (Monasteries). En-route we
meet the Changpa Nomads who roam the vast expanses of the Changthang
plains with their flocks of sheep and goats. Our final destination is
the charming town of Leh in the district of Ladakh which was once an
extension of Tibet.
All along the way we meet local families and get insights into local
traditions and cultures.
The Indian Western Himalaya Culture Tour 3: 4 Nts/ 5 Days
Manali-Dharamshala-Macleodgunj-Kangra-Jwalamukhi-Chandigarh:
This tour goes through the picturesque Kangra Valley with its sprawling
lush tea gardens and views of the mighty Dhauladhar mountain range.
You visit ancient temples in Kangra and get to see the ancient Kangra
Fort standing tall on a strategically located hill. Macleodgunj gives
you an interesting time intermingling with overseas visitors and serene
Buddhist monks. Numerous cafes offer international and Tibetan cuisine.
Visit the home of His Highness the Dalai Lama spiritual leader of the
Tibetans and the elaborate temple that houses a gigantic statute of
the Buddha. Later visit the Jwalamukhi temple where a natural constant
flame burns in a cave. The tour ends at the well planned city of Chandigarh
designed by a famous French architect.
The Land of the Thunder Dragon Cultural Tour – Bhutan: 6 Nights/7

Bhutan a country that lies in the eastern Himalayas is home
to ancient monasteries and breathtaking landscape. This tour takes us
to the small town of Paro in one of the most picturesque valleys in
this ancient mountain country. Spend your time visiting the Paro Dzong
an amazing structure that houses ancient artefacts and is Bhutan’s National
Museum. This is one of the most interesting parts of the tour. Guru
Rinpoche (Reincarnation) the founder of Mahayana Buddhism in Bhutan
visited this enchanting valley astride a Tigress. Meditating in a cave
for three months he also built the Taktsang Lhakhang monastery (translated-
Tiger’s nest). Also a Bhutan Tourism Coffee shop provides the visitor

The Land of the Thunder Dragon Cultural Tour 2:
Thimpu the capital of this kingdom. Thimpu a small enchanting town
and the capital of Bhutan, provides interesting insights into the lifestyles
of this vibrant hill community. Visit the palatial Taschicchodzong an
imposing structure built during the rule of His Majesty Dorje Wangchuk
the third. Take leisurely walks around the Thimpu River and Thimpus’
main street which gives you many opportunities to savour the local lifestyle.
Weekends can give you glimpses of locals strolling around shopping for
vegetables and picking up a copy of the Kuensal the weekly newspaper.
The old market is another interesting feature of Thimpu. Here you can
see heaps of red chillies, okra, brinjals, and asparagus during the
season and varied samples of rice. The streets of Thimpu also offer
antiques, carpets, and interesting masks. It’s an amazing world where
you get to see a traditional painting school where traditional Bhutanese
art is taught. You also get to visit the memorial Chorten built in the
memory of the third King of Bhutan. Another fascinating aspect of this
tour is the National Library that stores an extensive collection of
Buddhist books and research documents
